This weekend marks the mid way point between spring & summer. (yes, 1/2 way to summer people!). In the my main squeeze yoga & Celtic lineages that I am trained, the mid way point in the seams of nature’s rhythms are considered extra auspicious. In Ireland, the center is referred to as the “hearth heart” and fires are burned all weekend long to celebrate this fold in time. In the yoga tradition, the center is called the “hrid” and is embedded in the word for heart “hridayam” which literally translates as “this center.” These midway markers in between the solstices and equinoxes are considered the most sacred & powerful moments to harness and bathe in whatever feeds your heart.
